JACKSONVILLE, Fla., (Feb. 16, 2020)- Sponsored by Grace is seeking donors to sponsor the children of the 32209 Vista Landing Apartments. Each child sponsorship is $56 a month and provides school uniforms, a hot meal once a week, four trips a year outside the community and a church community.
Sponsored By Grace’s mission is to assist and support disadvantaged children housed in the Vista Landing Apartments. These apartments are located in the poverty-stricken 32209 area code of Jacksonville. This area has the highest crime rate in the city and is located in a food desert. There are currently nine children sponsored by donors but SBG is looking for more children to be sponsored within the next year. The children must uphold responsibilities like staying in school and doing their chores to maintain their sponsorship. Sponsoring not only uplifts the child, but also the entire family. Founder Ron Armstrong says, “We can’t do it without people that will help.”
